The Vikings will be losing receiver Sidney Rice to the Seattle Seahawks when free-agent deals can be signed Friday, according to FOXSports.com’s Jay Glazer.
Rice reportedly agreed to a five-year deal with the Seahawks. According to ESPN, the deal is worth $44 million, including $18.5 million in guarantees.
The Seahawks entered free agency with nearly $40 million under the salary cap while the Vikings were almost $5 million over, giving Seattle a big advantage in negotiations. The Seahawks also agreed to terms with former Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, who is friends with Rice, on Tuesday.
