TEHRAN, Iran – The leaders of Iran and Venezuela hailed what they called their strong strategic relationship on Wednesday, saying they are united in efforts to establish a "new world order" that will eliminate Western dominance over global affairs.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and visiting Venezuelan counterpart, Hugo Chavez, watched as officials from both countries signed 11 agreements promoting cooperation in areas including oil, natural gas, textiles, trade and public housing.

Among the agreements, Venezuela's state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela SA said the South American country was forming a joint shipping venture with Iran to aid in delivering Venezuelan crude oil to Europe and Asia. It said in a statement that the agreement for a joint venture also would help supply Iran "due to its limited refining capacity."

Both presidents denounced U.S. "imperialism" and said their opponents will not be able to impede cooperation between Iran and Venezuela.

Iran's state TV quoted both Ahmadinejad and Chavez as calling their relationship a "strategic alliance" that would eliminate the current global order.

On March 6, 1991, President George Herbert Walker Bush, at the conclusion of the Persian Gulf War, uttered some words that shivered down the spines of Americans who appreciated their country as an independent, sovereign experiment in constitutional self-government.
"Now, we can see a new world coming into view – a world in which there is the very real prospect of a New World Order," he said.
He went on to expand on this idea, explaining that he envisioned the United Nations freed "to fulfill the historic vision of its founders."
In 1991, that was scary talk. It sounded like Bush had forgotten what America represented in the world – a nation founded on the principles of independence, the rule of law and accountability to the people, rather than just one of many states responsible to a global community that didn't share its ideals.
Last weekend, speaking in Prague, Barack Obama took the New World Order rhetoric to soaring new heights.
"All nations must come together to build a stronger, global regime," he said.

Any kind of talk like this , whether it is out of a democrat's or a republican's mouth, is so out of bounds that I wish people would push for impeachment. The United States is a sovereign nation that governs itself, and I'm glad it does. Because the rest of the world doesn't have our values. This is a special nation, and I for one, would like it to remain this way. Who does this guy think he is? The madness of this guy has to stop. Pray for Obama's eyes to be opened and get involved in whatever way you can so that your voice can be heard. Otherwise your country is going to disappear very quickly, and it's never coming back.
