Believe Life Begins at Conception? You're an extremist and radical.

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), chair of the Democratic National Committee, said Thursday that for states to enact constitutional amendments that say human life begins at conception is “an extreme and radical step.”

“For the vast majority of Americans, including people on both sides of the abortion issue, this is an extreme and radical step,” she said.

Federal Gov't gives NH Planned Parenthood $1 million

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded Planned Parenthood of New Hampshire $1 million after the state legislature voted to cut off the stream of taxpayer money to the largest operator in the nation's abortion industry.

It's just one of a number of states where local managers and officials have decided against providing tax money to Planned Parenthood, only to see their work overturned through what one critic calls government by fiat.

Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser says the New Hampshire dispute is just another example of the Obama administration's abuse of states' rights.

And this happened in a state that prides itself on its love for the 10th Amendment.

"A place like New Hampshire is central to states' rights. It's part of their heritage and history," Dannenfelser said. "Obama and Planned Parenthood know that the only place they can exert their will when it comes to funding is to overstep in the way they just have in New Hampshire."

Herman Cain running for President

From all that I've seen thus far, this is a good man running for president: smart, grounded, articulate, and passionate.

Tea Party favorite Herman Cain announced his long-shot presidential candidacy to a raucous crowd in Atlanta Saturday, yelling, "I'm running for president of the United States and I'm not running for second."

At a rally attended by thousands, the businessman, author and talk radio show host showed he knows how to wow a conservative gathering. The crowd chanted, "Herman, Herman, Herman," as Cain unleashed the same soaring rhetoric and relentless attacks on President Obama that has created buzz in recent weeks.

"Let me tell you some of the reasons why I'm running for president of the United States. We have become a nation of crises," he said, citing morals, the economy, entitlement spending, immigration and foreign affairs as among the crises facing the nation.

"And we've got a deficiency of leadership crisis in the White House," he said to roaring cheers.

Now the 65-year-old Republican will see if he can use that grass-roots enthusiasm to turn a long-shot presidential campaign into a credible bid. Cain has been introducing himself to voters during months of traveling around the country.

Cain supports a strong national defense, opposes abortion, backs replacing the federal income tax with a national sales tax and favors a return to the gold standard.

Planned Parenthood Front & Center

I'm part of that "vast majority of Americans". If you want to fund it, do it privately, but don't take my tax dollars and use it to kill babies.

"The country is broke and the vast majority of Americans don't want tax dollars to take the life of unborn children," Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio., chairman of Republican Study Committee, told reporters in a conference call.

Social Security Woes because of Abortion?

The Bible is very clear that we, as individuals and as nations, eventually reap what we sow.

from: http://www.lifenews.com/2011/03/29/santorum-abortion-to-blame-for-some-social-security-problems/

Rick Santorum the former Pennsylvania senator who is eying a bid for the Republican nomination for president, blamed part of the insolvency problems related to social security on abortion.

He says the system would be stronger if not for the 53 million abortions that have robbed the nation of potential workers who would be contributing to the program. Santorum’s comments came during an appearance at an event in New Hampshire, the site of one of the first primary election battles.

“The social security system, in my opinion, is a flawed design, period,” Santorum said in an interview with WEZS Radio in Laconia, New Hampshire.”But having said that, the design would work a lot better if we had stable demographic trends.” Santorum cited the “abortion culture” and said “we don’t have enough workers to support the retirees. Well, a third of all the young people in America are not in America today because of abortion.”

Unexpected Consequences

from: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/mar/23/health-care-reform-energizes-pro-life-movement/

The battle over President Obama's health care overhaul has produced an unexpected beneficiary: the pro-life movement, which is summoning support and gathering contributions at a rate not seen since the partial-birth abortion debates of the mid-1990s.

Leaders of the movement are not only promising an electoral showdown in November but they've chosen a new villain: Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan.

The pro-life Democrat's last-minute switch in favor of the legislation passed Sunday has infuriated movement partisans. Mr. Stupak is already paying the price: The Susan B. Anthony List immediately stripped him of a Defender of Life award it was planning to bestow on him Wednesday at its third annual Campaign for Life gala at the Willard InterContinental in downtown Washington.

"Let me be clear: Any representative, including Rep. Stupak, who votes for this health care bill can no longer call themselves 'pro-life,'" said the group's president, Marjorie Dannenfelser.

Planned Parenthood leader becomes Pro-Life!

This is a great story.

from: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,571215,00.html

The former director of a Planned Parenthood clinic in southeast Texas says she had a "change of heart" after watching an abortion last month — and she quit her job and joined a pro-life group in praying outside the facility.
Abby Johnson, 29, used to escort women from their cars to the clinic in the eight years she volunteered and worked for Planned Parenthood in Bryan, Texas. But she says she knew it was time to leave after she watched a fetus "crumple" as it was vacuumed out of a patient's uterus in September.
'When I was working at Planned Parenthood I was extremely pro-choice," Johnson told FoxNews.com. But after seeing the internal workings of the procedure for the first time on an ultrasound monitor, "I would say there was a definite conversion in my heart ... a spiritual conversion."
Johnson said she became disillusioned with her job after her bosses pressured her for months to increase profits by performing more and more abortions, which cost patients between $505 and $695.
"Every meeting that we had was, 'We don't have enough money, we don't have enough money — we've got to keep these abortions coming,'" Johnson told FoxNews.com. "It's a very lucrative business and that's why they want to increase numbers."

Who are these people Obama nominates?!!

Does anyone on earth agree with this guy? Obama said we should judge him by the people he spends time with. If that's true, my judgment of him is not very positive.

JERUSALEM – Restrictions on access to abortion would turn women's bodies into vessels to be "used" by fetuses, according to President Obama's newly confirmed regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein.
"A restriction on access to abortion turns women's reproductive capacities into something to be used by fetuses. ... Legal and social control of women's sexual and reproductive capacities has been a principal historical source of sexual inequality," Sunstein wrote in his 1993 book "The Partial Constitution."
In the book, obtained and reviewed by WND, Sunstein sets forth a radical new interpretation of the Constitution. In one chapter, titled "Pornography, abortion, surrogacy," Sunstein argued against restrictions on abortion and pornography.
"Restrictions on abortion, surrogacy and free availability of pornography are troublesome," he wrote.

Quotations by Obama's "Science Czar"

from: http://www.foxnews.com/slideshow/2009/08/05/radical-science/?slide=4

Holdren wrote that "it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society."

In a future society, "It would even be possible to require pregnant single women to marry or have abortions, perhaps as an alternative to placement for adoption, depending on the society," Holdren and his co-authors wrote.

These statements, written by John Holdren in the 1970's, should be enough to make even the middle-of-the-road Pro-choice person fear and shudder.

Health Care Plan to Cover Abortions?!!

from: http://asia.news.yahoo.com/ap/20090805/twl-us-health-care-overhaul-abortion-ef375f8.html

WASHINGTON – Health care legislation before Congress would allow a new government-sponsored insurance plan to cover abortions, a decision that would affect millions of women and recast federal policy on the divisive issue.
Federal funds for abortions are now restricted to cases involving rape, incest or danger to the life of the mother. Abortion opponents say those restrictions should carry over to any health insurance sold through a new marketplace envisioned under the legislation, an exchange where people would choose private coverage or the public plan.
Abortion rights supporters say that would have the effect of denying coverage for abortion to millions of women who now have it through workplace insurance and are expected to join the exchange.
Advocates on both sides are preparing for a renewed battle over abortion, which could jeopardize political support for President Barack Obama's health care initiative aimed at covering nearly 50 million uninsured and restraining medical costs. The dispute could come to a head with House and Senate floor votes on abortion this fall, a prospect that many lawmakers would like to avoid.
"We want to see people who have no health insurance get it, but this is a sticking point," said Richard Doerflinger, associate director of pro-life activities for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. "We don't want health care reform to be the vehicle for mandating abortion." The church can't accept a public plan that covers abortion, he said.

Supervisor to Nurse: help with abortion or be fired

from: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,534872,00.html?test=latestnews

A New York nurse claims she was forced to choose between her religious convictions and her job when Mount Sinai Hospital ordered her to assist in a late-term abortion against her will.
The hospital even exaggerated the patient's condition and claimed the woman could die if the nurse, a devout Catholic, did not follow orders, the nurse alleges in a lawsuit.
"It felt like a horror film unfolding," said Catherina Cenzon-DeCarlo, 35, who claims she has had gruesome nightmares and hasn't been able to sleep since the May 24 incident.
The married mother of a year-old baby was 30 minutes into her early-morning shift when she realized she had been assigned to an abortion. She begged her supervisor to find a replacement nurse for the procedure. The hospital had a six-hour window to find a fill-in, the suit says.

This just in: unborn fetuses can remember!

from: http://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/fetuses_have_memories/2009/07/16/236295.html

Thursday, July 16, 2009 8:30 AM

They weigh less than 3 pounds, usually, and are perhaps 15 inches long. But they can remember.
The unborn have memories, according to medical researchers who used sound and vibration stimulation, combined with sonography, to reveal that the human fetus displays short-term memory from at least 30 weeks gestation - or about two months before they are born.

"In addition, results indicated that 34-week-old fetuses are able to store information and retrieve it four weeks later," said the research, which was released Wednesday.

For those of us who are Bible-believing pro-life advocates, this is obvious to us. But, for those pro-choice or those on the fence, this is a neat article proving once again that just because you can't see them, they are still living human beings just like you and me. And to terminate them is equivalent to murdering a human being you DO see.

The Roll of Tiller's Pastors

I know this is a long article, but I think it's an important article. God has ordained pastors to speak the truth to those under their authority. When they don't do what God has called them to do, terrible things like this happen. May this be a warning to all of us who have been called to the pastoral office.

from: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=99830

A headline you will not read in the mainstream media is "Dr. Death Meets Death" – however, that describes the end of Dr. George Tiller's life precisely.
His murder is tragic in a number of ways, beginning with a life created by God that was misspent on the destruction of life. The blood on his hands cried out for justice that could only lawfully be applied through civil authorities and only mitigated eternally through Another's blood shed for his sins. Neither of those was accomplished for Tiller.
The first element of this tragedy is that unlike serial killers who "unlawfully" took innocent lives, Tiller "lawfully" committed what God calls murder against babies who met the standard of viability outside the womb as his trademark. He operated within the confines of the law as defined by five U.S. Supreme Court Justices in 1973 and which still stands today.
Those justices and every citizen who has voted for politicians who appointed judges like them, as well as who support "abortion rights," are equally guilty of being an accessory to the murders of tens of millions of defenseless children. Tiller was an opportunist who profited hugely from an industry born of evil laws propagated by evil rulers chosen by citizens who rejected God's authority and design of life.
The next critical point in the brutal end of this doctor who made millions by tearing apart babies limb by limb is the location of his demise. The frequency of shootings in or at churches has increased as the moral fabric of the nation unravels and the reverence for the sanctuary of the church does as well. Tiller should have faced justice through due process rather than at the hands of a lone gunman who violated the laws of man and God by taking them into his own hands.
The incredible irony of this cannot be lost, however, that the most notorious abortionist in America was gunned down at a church where, as the New York Times reported, Tiller "had attended … for a long time, they said, and had contributed significantly to construction of the current facility, which was built in about 1996."
Tiller was an usher, long-time member and major financial contributor to Reformation Lutheran Church. His church attendance had not escaped the notice of pro-life activists, as according to a Fox News story, "…They've been out here for quite a few years. We've just become accustomed to it. Just like an everyday thing, you just looked over and see them and say, 'Yup they're back again.'"
I have to ask the question that is one which strikes at the heart of much of our spiritual, social, moral and political condition today. What was he being taught in this church? Tiller was obviously comfortable in this church, and it is evident that the pastoral leadership was comfortable with him.
In an analogy that may bring some criticism, suppose a known drug lord or pimp attended this church and gave substantial contributions? Would he have been given the status and gratitude for his generosity that Tiller apparently enjoyed? Those others may be operating outside the boundaries of man's law while Tiller was within; however, all were equally outside the laws of God.
We live in a day where the power of God is non-existent in many churches – possibly most – because we have either rejected the authority of Scripture, or more predominantly in the evangelical church we are focused far more on "comforting the afflicted" than "afflicting the comfortable." We should do both.
Whether it is an abortionist who should have been brought to conviction of his sin through clear presentation of Scriptural truths, a man or woman "shacking up" while being active in their church, long-time church leaders divorcing over adultery – we have cancer in the body.
Just as this pastor must answer to God for his shepherding over Tiller, every pastor must account for the calling and gift of spiritual stewardship over his respective flock. Are we making disciples or are we creating Christians comfortable with evil?
The passage in Matthew 28:18-20 known as the Great Commission does not command us to fill coliseums, expand our buildings, or increase our budgets – or accommodate the world. It does command us to do three things:
Make disciples of the nations – disciples are "pupils";
Baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit – spiritual rebirth is FIRST;
Teach them to observe all He commanded – All four elements are essential:– Teach – Impart with integrity to the text and context– All – Don’t leave anything out between Genesis and Revelation– He – Jesus was involved in authoring all Scripture– Commanded – If we want the "benefits," we must follow "The Way."
Does any reasonable person doubt that if George Tiller had been made a disciple, as in the awesome story of former abortionist Carol Everett
recounted in her book, "Blood Money: Getting Rich Off a Woman's Right to Choose," he would have followed Jesus' command to "go and sin no more"?
Carol's turn from death to life produced her new "fruits" through the Heidi Group, which is helping women and standing for life. Her testimony is in stark contrast to the "aid and comfort" given to Tiller by pastors who refuse to preach boldly the Word of truth and let the Holy Spirit do His work of bringing conviction and repentance.
Let us pray, repent and then turn in our pulpits back to the One who gave us life, fear Him rather than men and make disciples who choose life.

Majority of Americans are Pro-life!

from: http://www.christianpost.com/Society/Polls_reports/2009/05/more-americans-identify-as-pro-life-than-pro-choice-15/index.html

For the first time in over a decade, more Americans say they are pro-life than pro-choice, a new Gallup poll revealed.
Just over half (51 percent) of Americans stand for the sanctity of human life while 42 percent consider themselves pro-choice, according to the May 2009 survey released Friday.
This marks the first time a majority of U.S. adults identified themselves as pro-life since Gallup began asking the abortion question in 1995 when only 33 percent called themselves pro-life.
Since then the highest percentage identifying as pro-life was 46 percent in 2001 and 2002.
The Gallup Poll found the dramatic shift occurred just in the past year. In 2008, 44 percent said they were pro-life while 50 percent were pro-choice.
...The Gallup Poll confirmed Americans' recent shift toward the pro-life position with two other surveys. The Gallup Values and Beliefs survey showed that 50 percent consider themselves pro-life while 43 percent identify as pro-choice. Moreover, a recent Pew Research Center survey also found that the percentage of Americans who say abortion should be legal in all or most cases dropped from 54 percent to 46 percent while the percentage of those who say the procedure should be legal in only a few or no cases jumped from 41 to 44 percent.
Increase in pro-life sentiment is seen across Christian religious affiliations. Fifty-nine percent of Protestants and "other Christians" identify as pro-life, a rise from 51 percent in 2008. Pro-lifers among Catholics rose from 45 to 52 percent. Even within the "other/none" group, there was a rise in pro-lifers from 27 to 31 percent.
The rise in pro-lifers was also largely seen among conservatives, moderates and Republicans, they survey found.
Among conservatives, pro-lifers rose from 66 to 71 percent. Pro-lifers also increased from 38 to 45 percent among moderates. Among Republicans and those who lean Republican, the poll found a rise in pro-lifers from 60 to 70 percent over the past year and a drop (36 to 26 percent) in those who call themselves pro-choice.
Liberals and Democrats, meanwhile, showed essentially no shift in their views with 19 percent and 33 percent identifying as pro-life, respectively.

An Amazing Young Lady

I got the opportunity to hear and see Lila Rose a couple of months ago at a conference in Albany. She is a lion for truth and justice, and she gives me hope that others with fire like her are being raised up in this new young generation to put an end to the anarchy insanities that seem to be popping up everywhere in the United States of America.

Pro-Life Awakened to New Life

from: http://worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=94897

The Obama administration's string of pro-choice appointments and actions in its first 100 days has awakened pro-life Americans in a growing tidal wave of enthusiasm and action.
"There was a concern that after the president was elected, the pro-life movement would be so demoralized that it would be almost a death blow," said Charmaine Yoest, president and chief executive officer of Americans United for Life, the oldest national pro-life organization in the country. "But in fact, just the opposite is true."
Yoest told WND that news of Obama's victory in November launched an immediate surge of pro-life activism, including over 700,000 people who have signed the group's petition to stop the Freedom of Choice Act, which Obama has said he would support and sign into law upon passage through Congress.
"Immediately after the election, our servers melted down from so many people looking to take a stand against an abortion agenda," Yoest told WND. "Subsequently, what we've found over the last several months is that every time we've asked people on that list to do something, the response has been overwhelming."
"A lot of activists are waking up," said Joy Yearout, political director of the Susan B. Anthony List, to Politico. "For eight years we had President Bush and his veto pen to protect us – and we don't have that anymore."
The Susan B. Anthony List, a political action committee that helps pro-life women gain election to Congress, told Politico that its supporters have sent more letters, e-mails and faxes to Washington in the first quarter of 2009 than during each of the last two years.
And as WND reported, the Red Envelope Project, which encouraged supporters to send Obama red envelopes symbolizing the empty promise of lives snuffed out in abortion, buried the White House in a flood of nearly 2.25 million envelopes.
"I've been here 35 years, so I've seen presidents come and go," a White House mail worker calling himself "Steve" told WND. "This campaign ranks up there with the big ones."
Red envelopes aren't all pro-lifers have been sending. The American Life League told Politico that financial donations are up 30 percent over last year.
Bishop Paul S. Loverde with 189,000 postcards opposing FOCA at Capitol Hill
The Catholic Herald of Arlington, Va., reports that in late March, Bishop Paul S. Loverde visited the Capitol and personally delivered 189,000 postcards opposing FOCA to Virginia's legislators in Washington, D.C.
And at press time, over 262,000 people have signed a petition asking University of Notre Dame President Father John Jenkins to rescind the Catholic university's invitation to Barack Obama to speak at its May 17 graduation ceremony.
...Even among those pro-lifers that may have supported Obama's election, there are many who have become disillusioned by the president's persistent direction of policy.
"President Obama is losing favor with many who might have supported him at first but have become very disturbed with his actions on pro-life issues," said Rev. Frank S. Page, a member of the president's Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. "Some of us have been disturbed with the rapid pace he has moved to dismantle some of the few protections that remain for the unborn.
"The verbalization that he wishes to find common ground – we are just not seeing that," Page told Politico. "I am seeing an increase in activity amongst groups that it is time to make the decision makers know what we feel."

3 Months of Pro-Abortion

This is why elections matter, and this is why it is important that Christians pray and get active in politics.

Blind Spots in our Faith

Over the past few weeks, I believe God has shown me that all Christians (including I) have blind spots in our faith, areas where we are unable to see how some of the things we believe, say, or do are completely contradictory with our faith. Here's a rather obvious one in our pro-abortion (and even pro-partial birth abortion) commander-in-chief.

from: http://worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=88107
At the National Prayer Breakfast at the Washington Hilton Hotel this morning, President Obama caught pro-life advocates off guard when he said God wouldn't condone taking the life of an innocent human being.
Obama spoke of the need for people of all religions to end persecution "in the name of perceived righteousness."
"[F]ar too often, we see faith wielded as a tool to divide us from one another as an excuse for prejudice and intolerance," he said. "There's no doubt that the very nature of faith means that some of our beliefs will never be the same."
The president said people from various religions all have different views about how humans came to be on Earth and "where we are going next."
Obama attempted to draw similarities among the world's diverse religions.
"No matter what we choose to believe, let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenant is hate," he said.
"There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know."

All I can say is...wow.
