Irony at its Absolute Finest!

from: http://www.aolnews.com/world/article/neo-nazi-coubuple-find-out-theyre-jewish/19648414?test=latestnews

(Sept. 25) -- Two Polish neo-Nazis who were childhood sweethearts and later became skinheads have discovered what for them is a shocking family secret: They're actually Jewish. Pawel and Ola, identified only by their first names, are the subject of a CNN documentary about Poles rediscovering their Jewish roots generations after their ancestors hid their religious identities to escape persecution during World War II. A few years ago, Ola found out from Warsaw's Jewish Historical Institute that both she and her husband are technically Jews. "It was unbelievable -- it turned out that we had Jewish roots. It was a shock," she said.
At the time, she and Pawel were active in Warsaw's neo-Nazi movement. "I was a nationalist 100 percent. Back then when we were skinheads it was all about white power... that Jews were the biggest plague and the worst evil of this world," Pawel said. Both 33, they've now embraced their Jewish identity and are active in their local orthodox synagogue. "I'm not saying that I don't have regrets but it's not something that I walk around and lash myself over... I feel sorry for those that I beat up," Pawel said. "But I don't hold a grudge against myself."

Jewish Believers in Israel growing!

from: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3939336,00.html

Some 15,000 Messianic Jews currently live in Israel, but if you saw one on the street you would almost certainly fail to recognize any difference. They honor Jewish circumcision, bar-mitzvah, and wedding ceremonies, but believe Jesus is the messiah.
The small community of Yad Hashmona, near Jerusalem, is home to a number of Messianic-Jewish families. They believe in Jesus – or Yeshua, as they call him – and in the teachings of the New Testament as well as the old. They are Jews in every sense, but for the most part keep this side of their faith to themselves. When these families gather for the Shabbat meal, however, Jesus is the guest star at their table.
Around 350,000 Messianic Jews live in the US, and one would be just as hard-pressed to recognize them there as in Israel. Some are Orthodox, and dress as the haredim do, while others are traditional and wear a yarmulke or no religious symbol at all. They are for the most part Zionists, and see IDF service as a top priority. In the army they serve as pilots, commanders, and elite unit members, but usually make sure to keep their messianic beliefs under wraps.
The fact that Jesus was Jewish is generally agreed upon, but what happened after his death is subject to rancorous theological debate. History books tend to recall the first century as a time of rebellion and prophets in Jewish antiquity, and this was also Christianity's first chapter, bringing about pre-historic inter-religious quarreling and anti-Semitism.

Iran would destroy Israel in a week?

Check out the retraction of a previous comment toward the end of the article. These people are living seemingly on a different planet from us.

from: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3891781,00.html

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's chief of staff, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, said Wednesday that if Israel attacked Iran it would be destroyed within a week.

Speaking at a political conference of ultra-conservatives in Iran's north, Mashaei said, "If the Zionist regime attacks Iran, the Zionists will have no longer than a week to live."

The semi-official Fars news agency quoted him as saying that the Islamic Republic would destroy Israel "in less than 10 days".

Mashaei, who was also formerly a vice president, added that new sanctions to be imposed on Iran for its nuclear program would only harm Western countries.

The statesman is considered a close affiliate of the Iranian president and has previously caused a stir by
saying that Iran was "a friend of the Israeli people". He later retracted this statement and issued a contrary one saying Israel should be destroyed.

On a visit to Saudi Arabia Mashaei claimed that the annihilation of Israel should be a global goal. He told Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir that "the corrupt and criminal Zionist regime is harming not only the Arab and Islamic world, but all of humanity."

Netanyahu on Jerusalem in the Bible

from: http://sg.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20100512/twl-oukwd-uk-palestinians-israel-jerusal-13abf6c.html

JERUSALEM - Beset by questions about Jerusalem's future in talks with the Palestinians, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reached for the Bible on Wednesday to stake out the Jewish state's contested claim on the city.

Netanyahu told a parliamentary session commemorating Israel's capture of East Jerusalem from Jordan in the 1967 war that "Jerusalem" and its alternative Hebrew name "Zion" appear 850 times in the Old Testament, Judaism's core canon.

"As to how many times Jerusalem is mentioned in the holy scriptures of other faiths, I recommend you check," he said.

Citing such ancestry, Israel calls all of Jerusalem its "eternal and indivisible" capital -- a designation not recognised abroad, where many powers support Arab claims to East Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state.

The dispute is further inflamed by the fact East Jerusalem houses al-Aqsa mosque, Islam's third-holiest shrine, on a plaza that Jews revere as the vestige of two biblical Jewish temples.

Heckled by a lawmaker from Israel's Arab minority, Netanyahu offered a lesson in comparative religion from the lectern.

"Because you asked: Jerusalem is mentioned 142 times in the New Testament, and none of the 16 various Arabic names for Jerusalem is mentioned in the Koran. But in an expanded interpretation of the Koran from the 12th century, one passage is said to refer to Jerusalem," he said.

Genesis 27:29

We are in unprecedented times where our government is no longer pro-Israel. In Genesis 27:29, God says that whoever blesses Israel will be blessed and those who curse her will be cursed. This is serious business, and we are playing with fire.

from: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/04/22/poll-obama-gets-thumbs-down-on-israel/?fbid=TwzDfKcqH9t

Washington (CNN) - Only a third of Americans approve of the way President Obama's handling the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, according to a new national poll.

A Quinnipiac University survey released Thursday morning indicates that 35 percent of the public gives the president a thumbs up on how he's dealing with the situation between Israel and the Palestinians, with 44 percent saying they disapprove, and just over one in five unsure.

This stands in contrast with how Americans feel about Obama's overall handling of foreign policy, with 48 percent approving and 42 percent saying they disapprove.

According to the poll, two-thirds of Jewish voters disapprove of how the president's handling Israeli-Palestinian relations, with 28 percent saying they approve. Jewish voters were big backers of Obama in the 2008 presidential election, with exit polls indicating that nearly eight of ten backed the Democratic candidate.

Netanyahu quotes Biblical Prophecy!

from: http://flashtrafficblog.wordpress.com/

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week traveled to to Poland to commemorate the 65th anniversary of liberation of Auschwitz. Speaking on the actual site of the Nazi death camp, the Prime Minister warned the world of new genocidal threats against the Jewish people and the importance of acting early enough to prevent such threats from coming to pass. In a stunning and remarkable moment, Netanyahu also declared to the people of Europe and the world that the prophecies of Ezekiel 37 have been fulfilled. The Holocaust, he said, represented the "dry bones" and "graves" of the Jewish people, and out of that horror the State of Israel was resurrected, just as the Lord said would happen through the Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel. Rarely has any world leader given a major address on an international stage declaring End Times prophecies from the Bible have come true. But that is exactly what Netanyahu did.

More Jews now IN Israel than OUTSIDE of Israel!

from: http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1249275687846&pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu welcomed a planeload of olim on Tuesday at Ben-Gurion Airport, telling them that "for the first time in 2,000 years, there are going to be more Jews in Israel than outside it."
Speaking to a terminal full of olim from the United States and Canada, who came with Nefesh B'Nefesh on the organization's 38th chartered aliya flight since the first one in July 2002, Netanyahu noted that Israel's Jewish population was nearing the six million mark.

Why is this significant? Because in Ezekiel 36:24, God says there is coming a day when "...I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land."

Israeli Rabbis to Obama: "You do not want to be on the side of those against a Jewish Jerusalem"

from: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=104679

JERUSALEM – Leading rabbis in Israel released a petition yesterday demanding President Obama cease pressuring the Jewish state on the issue of Jerusalem.
"Jerusalem is off limits, and we respectfully request that you stop all talk and pressure against Jewish construction in Jerusalem," reads a petition signed by 250 members of the Rabbinical Congress for Peace.
The Congress is a coalition of Israeli rabbinic leaders, including pulpit rabbis and some of the most prestigious names in the Torah community.
"During these days when our nation mourns the destruction of Jerusalem and remembers in abhorrence those that destroyed it, we are sure that you, Mr. President, do not want to enter the list of those who raised a hand on Jerusalem and its Jewish inhabitants," the rabbis write.

If the Bible is correct (and I believe it is), then the Rabbis are right. If God Almighty is, in these last days, fighting for the Jews in Israel, then to take the other side is to find yourself, in the best-case scenario, on the wrong side of history, and in the worst-case scenario, in oblivion!

"The Jewish Temple will never be Rebuilt!"

from: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/132477

(IsraelNN.com) The deputy chief of the Islamist movement in Israel Kimal Al-Khatib told thousands of children in a Saturday Islamist protest on the Temple Mount that the Jewish Temple will never be rebuilt. His speech was published in the Jerusalem-based Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper Monday morning.
“If the Jews think that their mourning will end and they will rejoice by destroying the Al-Aqsa mosque and building their Temple, we say to them that their dream will not be fulfilled and they will continue to mourn. Al-Aqsa is for Muslims only,” he said.

Al-Khatib can say and assure all he wants to, but the Bible is clear that there will be a temple when Jesus returns. The question is "when"?!

Israelis find Obama Anti-Israel

from: http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1245184872947&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FPrinter

Only 6 percent of Jewish Israelis consider the views of American President Barack Obama's administration pro-Israel, according to a new Jerusalem Post-sponsored Smith Research poll.
The poll, which has a margin of error of 4.5%, was conducted among a representative sample of 500 Israeli Jewish adults this week, following Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's speech in which he expressed his support for a demilitarized Palestinian state.
Another 50% of those sampled consider the policies of Obama's administration more pro-Palestinian than pro-Israeli, and 36% said the policies were neutral. The remaining 8% did not express an opinion.
The numbers were a stark contrast to the last poll published May 17, on the eve of the meeting between Netanyahu and Obama at the White House. In that poll, 31% labeled the Obama administration pro-Israel, 14% considered it pro-Palestinian and 40% said it was neutral. The other 15% declined to give an opinion.
Israelis' views of Obama's predecessor in the White House, George W. Bush, are nearly the opposite. According to last month's poll, 88% of Israelis considered his administration pro-Israel, 7% said Bush was neutral and just 2% labeled him pro-Palestinian.

Israel & the Jewish People: A Rock that cannot be Moved

In Zechariah, chapter 12 verses 2 and 3, God prophesies, "I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves."
From the rebirth of Israel in May of 1948, many of the muslim nations surrounding Israel have tried to kill or expel the Jewish people. Many times they have tried...and many times they have failed. Why?
Is it because Israel's military was just that much more powerful than the nations surrounding them? Maybe one could make a case for that being true today, but this has only been true in the last few years. We looked at a few of the miracles from the 1948 war that helped the Jewish people of Israel keep their land in the midst of overwhelming odds. How about these from the years following 1948?
"There was a time in the 1967 Sinai campaign when two Israeli tanks topped a sand dune and found themselves facing a complete Egyptian tank unit. With no explanation, the Egyptians stopped, opened their turrets, jumped out and began to flee through the desert. After the Egyptians were captured, they explained their actions, telling stories of the 'hundreds of Israeli tanks' they had encountered." (Finto, Your People Shall Be My People, p.117)
Then, there's this one:
"During the 1973 Yom Kippur war, Syria marched across the unprotected Golan Heights. They could have been in the city of Haifa within 24 hours had they not suddenly stopped on the ridge of the Jordan River, nearly with firing range of the city of Tiberias, and remained there for three days. This gave the Israelis time to muster their forces and engage the Syrians in battle. Why did the Syrians remain on the ridge? A nonreligious Israeli general described a 'great gray-white hand pressing down onto the Syrians from out of the sky.'" (Finto, Your People Shall Be My People, p.117)
If there truly is a God protecting Israel and anyone who tries to move Jerusalem "will injure themselves" like the Bible says, one starts to understand why it is so important for the United States to #1 support Israel and #2 not try to split Jerusalem and expel the Jewish people. I don't know about you, but I shutter at the thought of fighting against God Himself.

The Root Cause of Anti-Semitism

I read a story today of which the following is a brief snippet:
Emmy-award winning comedienne Roseanne Barr, herself of Jewish ancestry, has nonetheless blasted Israel for its recent attacks on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, calling Israel a "Nazi state" bent on torturing "the Jewish soul."
"The destruction of the Jews in Israel has been assured with this inhuman attack on civilians in Gaza," Barr writes on her blog. "Exactly as its Nazi mentors did to the Jews of Warsaw, Israel now bombs innocent civilians who have been imprisoned in concentration camps in Gaza!" She continues, "The Zionists look German! The Palestinians look like the Jews of Poland! The Jewish people have destroyed themselves in Gaza."...
Two years ago, Barr explained, "The Arabs do not invade other countries. The Israelis do. I am sick of Israel and I am sick of Zionists. They are propped up by evangelical Christians who cannot wait for the Arabs to kill them so that their genocidal war god whom they misname Jesus can come back."...
Barr declares, "Remove Israel's influence from American government! Their occupation of and brutality against their neighbors is the real reason we were attacked on 9-11!"

from: www.worldnetdaily.com
What causes such hatred toward these people? Why can you find anti-semitism in every people group throughout the world and in every religion of the world including Christianity (ie Mel Gibson)? And why has this hatred existed in every generation for 1000's of years?
As a theologian, I will present the following reason: Satan hates the Jewish people and wants them dead. Let me explain:
To the father of the Jewish people, Abraham, God made this promise in Genesis 18:18:
"Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him."
What does this mean? First of all, it means that God was going to use the Jewish people to show the world who the real God is so that the whole world might come to know Him and be blessed by Him.
Secondly, and even more importantly, the Messiah or Savior would come through the line of Abraham. Millions of people would be ripped from satan's kingdom and brought into eternal life when Yeshua Ben Yosef--or better known to westerners as Jesus son of Joseph--would come through Abraham's line and take the world's sins on Himself and die on a cross.
Most anguishing of all to satan is this: When Yeshua Ben Yosef comes again to destroy satan forever, it is prophecied He will come back in a Jewish-inhabited Israel on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:4 & Acts 1:11). Satan will do all he can to stop this inevitable event from happening.
So, the next time you here an overly harsh or critical statement against Israel or the Jewish people, or the next time you find an anti-semitic word popping out of your own mouth, remember from where it came and ask God to give you a new heart for His people.
