Netanyahu to be new Israeli Prime Minister?

Today it was announced that Israeli President Shimon Peres chose hard-line Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu to form a new Israeli government. This is interesting to say the least. Netanyahu is a hawk who, just a few weeks ago, told Hamas that "when" he became prime minister, they had better stop firing rockets. If they did not, he was prepared to kill them to the last man. He has also run his campaign on not letting Iran, under any circumstance, acquire a nuclear weapon.
If Bibi (as he is called) becomes the prime minister, he will most certainly have to form a government with the Yisrael Beiteinu party who are even more hawkish than Netanyahu!
Many of us who pray for Israel are ecstatic over this news today because Israel has for too long just allowed terrorists who would eliminate them and governments (like the United States) to dictate to them how much force they can use to defend themselves. I wonder how long the United States would listen to world opinion if Mexico was firing rockets into Texas or Canada into Maine or Michigan?
